Microsoft Fabric Featured Partner
Recognized by Microsoft as a Fabric Featured Partner
Microsoft awards this status to partners with a proven track record of successful Fabric implementations and certified technical expertise. For you, that means a team already running Fabric in production in enterprise environments.
Verified project experience
The status is based on validated Fabric projects in production. You benefit from proven architectures and migration processes instead of trial and error.
Verified Fabric expertise
All Fabric specialists at oneLake are certified in DP-600 or DP-700, complemented by a Microsoft specialization in Data & AI and verified Fabric customer projects.
Faster, lower-risk delivery
Best practices for governance, security and architecture are part of the project from day one. This shortens project timelines and reduces go-live risk.
The most common challenges
Migrating without experience is expensive
Azure Synapse, on-premises SQL Server, Power BI Premium: every source technology has its own pitfalls. Trial and error costs time, budget and internal trust.
Power BI Premium P-SKUs are being retired
Uncertain future for Azure Synapse
The cost of running in parallel
Validating hundreds of reports
No Fabric expertise in the team
You’re not alone. We have already solved these questions in enterprise migrations. The earlier you plan, the shorter the parallel operation.
Book an initial consultationWhy Microsoft Fabric?
One platform for all of your company’s data processes
Microsoft Fabric brings data engineering, analytics, business intelligence and AI together in one platform, so many previously separate tools can be consolidated.
One platform instead of tool sprawl
From data integration and data engineering to Power BI, all in one ecosystem. No integration issues, no duplicate licenses.
Long-term cost savings
One capacity subscription for all services. Lower infrastructure costs, less administration and a more predictable IT budget.
From data to decisions, faster
Direct Lake and Real-Time Intelligence enable much shorter refresh cycles, up to real-time analytics where the use case requires it.
Scalable, secure and future-proof
Governance and security to Microsoft enterprise standards, with Microsoft Purview integrated. Data can be stored in EU data centers, an important foundation for GDPR-compliant implementations.
An ideal foundation for AI use cases
Copilot in Fabric, Azure OpenAI and ML models are built in. No additional infrastructure needed for AI projects.
Central data access with OneLake
A single data store for the entire organization. Data silos disappear, governance gets simpler and duplicate storage becomes a thing of the past.

Our approach
How we guide your Microsoft Fabric migration
Three clearly structured phases, from analyzing your existing data landscape to running in production on Microsoft Fabric.
- 01
Analysis & migration assessment
We evaluate your existing data landscape and identify dependencies, risks and quick wins. The result is a concrete migration roadmap with realistic effort estimates and a clear business case.
- 02
Implementation & migration
Structured migration from Azure Synapse, SQL Server, Power BI or SAP/Dynamics data sources. We apply proven architecture patterns and make sure governance and security are configured correctly from the start.
- 03
Operations, optimization & enablement
Monitoring, performance tuning and continuous development of your Fabric environment. At the same time, we enable your internal team to get value from the data independently through training and knowledge transfer.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions about Microsoft Fabric
oneLake supports companies from the first analysis to stable operations on Microsoft Fabric. This includes migration assessments, architecture and roadmap, delivering the migration, and governance, optimization and training for your team. Costs depend on scope: data sources, data volume and the number of reports. You start with a free initial consultation; a migration assessment then provides a reliable effort estimate. Microsoft can cover part of the project costs through funding programs.
Yes. Fabric capacities start with small F-SKUs and scale as needed, so no large upfront investment is required. Mid-sized companies in particular benefit from combining data integration, analytics and reporting in one platform instead of running several tools in parallel. We start with a clearly scoped use case and expand step by step.
Power BI is already part of Microsoft Fabric. Fabric adds data integration, lakehouse, warehouse and data science on a shared data foundation. The move makes sense when data from many sources needs to be combined, data models reach their limits, or Power BI Premium capacities are being converted anyway. An assessment shows whether and when the switch pays off for you.
Microsoft Fabric is billed by capacity (F-SKUs), from F2 to F2048. You pay either per hour based on usage or less with a reservation; OneLake storage is billed separately. Up to F32, people viewing Power BI reports also need a Power BI Pro license; from F64, a free license is enough. We determine the right size in the assessment based on your actual utilization.
Yes. Microsoft partially funds assessments, proofs of concept and migration projects through the Frontier Accelerate for Azure program. Only specialized partners like oneLake can apply. We check whether your project is eligible and handle the entire application, with no effort on your side. Microsoft sets the amount for each project.
It ranges from a few weeks for smaller Power BI environments to several months for enterprise migrations with many source systems. The key factors are the source system, data volume, number of reports and the team’s Fabric experience. Our migration calculator on this page gives you an initial estimate.
Microsoft is retiring Power BI Premium capacities (P-SKUs); existing customers move to Fabric capacities (F-SKUs) at contract renewal. Power BI itself stays, as it is part of Microsoft Fabric. We plan the switch so that licenses, workspaces and reports keep running without interruption.
For most companies, it pays to start planning now: Microsoft is focusing development on Fabric, while Azure Synapse is mainly being maintained. Fabric combines data engineering, warehousing and Power BI in one platform. An assessment shows which pipelines and SQL pools can be moved directly and where changes are needed.
No, usually not. Existing reports keep working in Microsoft Fabric; what typically changes are the data connections and semantic models, for example to use the faster Direct Lake mode. We migrate reports in waves and validate the results so your business teams see no discrepancies.
Yes. SAP data can be integrated into Microsoft Fabric and analyzed together with other sources. What matters is the right extraction method and a clean data model, so that KPIs from SAP and non-SAP systems match. oneLake has developed its own frameworks for this from customer projects.
Yes. With Fabric data agents, Copilot and integration with Azure AI Foundry, AI agents can access data in OneLake directly. For agents to deliver reliable answers, you need clean semantic models, clear permissions and well-maintained data quality. We prepare your Fabric environment to serve as the foundation for agentic development.
Fabric Featured Partner is a designation Microsoft awards to partners with proven Fabric expertise. Requirements include a Microsoft specialization in Data & AI, at least one verifiable Fabric customer project and a team with at least five Fabric-certified people (DP-600 or DP-700). oneLake meets these criteria and is recognized as a Fabric Featured Partner.
No. Microsoft OneLake is the central data store in Microsoft Fabric. oneLake GmbH is an independent consultancy based in Dortmund, Germany, and a Microsoft Solutions Partner for Data & AI that helps companies adopt and migrate to Microsoft Fabric.
